Raj Kumar Sahowalia, MA Punjabi, History and Religious Studies, has retired from Punjab Civil Secretariat as Deputy Secretary on 31.03.2024 at the age of 58 years. He worked hard, diligently and honestly. A grand farewell party was given by the secretariat officials.
Later, a retirement party was given by Sahowalia at Community Center Sector-70 Mohali, in which especially his uncle-in-law Ram Krishna Chaudhary Supervising Engineer (Retd.) and son-in-law Karthik Kanda (London) besides Malakiat Aujla, Bhagat Ram Rangara, Ranjodh Singh. Rana and Dhyan Singh Kahlon etc. were present.
It is worth mentioning that as a writer, he was awarded Dr. Ambedkar Fellowship Award by Dalit Indian Sahitya Akademi in 2002 and Harbhajan Halwarvi Award by Shiromani Punjabi Likhari Sabha Punjab in 2018. He is devoted to literature and serving as General Secretary of Kavi Manch (Reg:) Mohali.
