12 green polling stations were built to make the environment greener

Patiala, May 31 - During the Lok Sabha elections, 12 green polling stations have also been set up, giving the message of protecting the environment, where saplings will be distributed to the voters after voting.

Giving information in this regard, Returning Officer Shaukat Ahmed Pare said that one thousand saplings will be distributed at each green polling station by the Department of Horticulture and Forestry. He said that apart from this, eight polling stations will be operated by disabled employees. While in each constituency, apart from eight pink polling stations run by women, one polling station will also be run by youth. Shaukat Ahmed Pare said that eight polling stations in Patiala district are to be operated by Divyangjan.

Govt Girls High School Kalka Road Rajpura (Matric Wing) at Rajpura Govt CSE School Chappar at Ghanoor,
Govt Alley School Kulemajra at Sanur,
Government Alley Smart School Bagghikhana at Patiala,
Government Alley School at Samana New Sara Patti Samana
And polling stations have been set up at Kirti College Nyal at Shutrana.

He said that eight pink polling stations operated by women have also been constructed during the Lok Sabha elections.

He said that a polling station should be run by the youth which will be at Thapar University.
