Competitions were conducted at DAN College of Education under sweep activities

Under the leadership of Madam Karuna Oberoi, Principal of DNA College of Education Nawanshahr, a voter awareness seminar was organized under sweep activities.

Satnam Singh, Nodal Officer of Sweep, Hardeep Kaur, Assistant Professor of Politics Department from BLM Girls College Nawanshahr and Unkar Singh from Computer Faculty participated in this seminar as key speakers. They presented their ideas to educate the students about votes. Satnam Singh declared it mandatory for the students to cast their vote and also encouraged them to use their vote. And it was said by them that the students must exercise their right to vote as citizens of India and cast their vote. Because in the future only the youth can maintain the country's democracy. He said that the students should ask the people in and around their villages to vote and to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections. And under the Election Commission's slogan “This Bar 70 Par”, support and make every effort to cross the voting turnout of District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar to 75. Assistant Professor Hardeep Kaur also informed the students about the polling statistics That the vote polling of women is more than that of men and therefore, as a citizen, it is the personal duty of every person to exercise their right to vote so that a strong democracy can be established. And also the students were motivated to contribute in the field of education as well. On this occasion, Rangoli, poster making, slogan writing, speech competition and poetry recitation competitions were conducted for the students. Jasleen Sethi and Amritpal Kaur won the first place, Salma and Jaswant Kaur won the second place, Dolvi and Twinkle won the third place in the Rangoli competition. Neha and Palvi got first and second place respectively in poetry recitation competition, Salma and Muskan Sharma got first and second place respectively in poster making competition. Dr. Mikashi Grover and Prof. Sanjay Chandwani acted as judges. Professor Rajini thanked the keynote speakers And encouraged the female students to conduct a vote poll each. Computer Faculty Unkar Singh administered voter oath to the girl students. Electoral Literacy Club Officer Prof. Ramandeep Kaur, Dr. Kavita, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Jaswinder Singh, etc. were present on this occasion.
