Baba's Bagh Mela completes with the message of creation of Naroy Tan Man

Mahilpur - The annual Jod Mela of the famous Gurdwara Baba De Bagh of the historical village Wadian Kalan near Mahilpur was concluded with great pomp, which gives the message of mental peace to the devotees. Chief organizer of the fair, Bipanjit Singh Bedi said that we all should follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. By doing this the society will become beautiful and harmonious. We should adopt the teachings of Wind, Guru, Water, Father, Mother Earth, Mahatma in life. If we keep doing our own wish like this, then the coming generations will not forgive us.

Apart from the Kirtani groups, wrestling competitions were also organized in this religious fair which lasted for a week. After the offering of Akhand Path Sahib, the Kirtani groups of Baba Amarjeet Singh, Bhai Manjinder Singh, Bhai Sukhdev Nadal enthralled the congregation with various kirtans. Nagar Kirtan was also taken out under the leadership of Panj Pyaras.
Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal of Khalsa College Mahilpur and Baljinder Mann, Editor, Nikki Cumbers, participating as chief guests in the wrestling competitions, said that the Bedi family is related to the family of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Baba Balak Singh Bedi was the eleventh son of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He did penance at this place for a long time. After that Baba Ram Singh Bedi and Baba Tarlok Singh Bedi took care of the service of this Tapasthan and always showed the right path to the devotees. President Buta Singh, Harjot Singh Bedi and Bahadur Singh Neetu were present on this occasion.
           In wrestling, Guraj Jassa Badowalia won by defeating Gaurav Machhiwada. He was also given a cash prize of Rs 21000. In the special category, Harsh Chambla Akhara Bharata was the winner. The players of village Budowadi Club won the tug of war competition by defeating Gujjar Club Bari Kalan. In this fair, a large number of devotees from India and abroad participated, they joined the Diwan of Gurdwara Baba Di Bagh and offered flowers of their devotion. Harpreet Singh Nambardar, Hardeep Singh Sahota, Mandeep Singh Ginda, Avtar Singh Nambardar, Joginder Singh and Inderpal Singh played important roles.
