Chandigarh 15th March 2024:- The 9th Annual Athletic Meet 2024, organized by the Government College of Yoga Education & Health (GCYEH), Sector 23A, Chandigarh, concluded on a high note on 14th and 15th March 2024. The event, held at the campus of Post-Graduate Government College (PGGC), Sector 11, Chandigarh, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff members.
Under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Mahender Singh, Principal of GCYEH, and the efficient organization by Dr. Anupma and Dr. Sumant Batish, the Organizing Secretaries, the event showcased the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the participants.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Gurmel Singh, Dean of PGGC, Sector 11, Chandigarh, who presided as the Chief Guest, adding prestige to the occasion.
A plethora of track and field events marked the first day of the Athletic Meet, including the 100m Heat, 200m Final, 400m, 800m, Shot-put, Javelin throw, Discus throw, and Long Jump. Additionally, engaging fun events such as Tug-of-War, Three-legged race, spoon-lemon race, wheel & Barrow race, and Blindfold race added excitement to the proceedings.
