Abohar - The city of Abohar got a big gift today when the Dr BR Ambedkar Public Library in Abha Sukair was inaugurated here. It has cost 3 crore 41 lakh rupees. Additional Deputy Commissioner Anita Darshi and former MLA Shri Arun Narang were specially present on this occasion.
On this occasion, former MLA Arun Narang said that the Punjab government is making special efforts for the youth. He said that such libraries will become the basis of intellectual development of our youth. He said that when the youth get good knowledge, they will advance in every field of life. He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has so far given more than 40 thousand government jobs to the youth of the state on the basis of merit. He said that this library will be useful for the youth preparing for the competitive exams.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Development Anita Darshi said that the construction of this library will greatly benefit the youth. He said that youth can advance in every field of life by connecting with knowledge. He said that in this library students will get literature as well as books, magazines and newspapers for the preparation of competitive exams. In this library, 130 people can sit and read at the same time. The library is fully air-conditioned. The library will be run by the municipal corporation and students will be able to come here to study in different shifts. A digital section has been created in this library where students will be able to take advantage of online libraries around the world through computers. There is also internet and Wi-Fi facility. CCTV cameras have also been installed for security. On this occasion, Municipal Corporation Supervising Engineer Sandeep Gupta, Executive Engineer Abhinav Jain, District Youth President Prof. Tejbir Singh Brar, General Secretary Upkar Singh Jakhar, Advocate Harpreet Singh, Superintendent Vikram Dhuria etc. were also present.
