Calling for applications for journalist Simmi Marwaha honor

Chandigarh, March 1 - Simmi Marwaha Memorial Charitable Trust is organizing the 21st Young Journalists Honor Day function on April 3 at Press Club, 27B Chandigarh. Giving information in this regard, Trust manager Rajinder Rozi (poetry) said that this award will be done by giving pure silver award to the topper in print, electronic, web media, photography field and mass com correspondents from Panjab University Chandigarh.

Giving information in this regard, Trust manager Rajinder Rozi (poetry) said that this award will be done by giving pure silver award to the topper in print, electronic, web media, photography field and mass com correspondents from Panjab University Chandigarh.

He said that applications have been requested by the trust in this regard which can be sent to the email id of the trust by 25th March 2024. He said that those journalists who have done such a unique work through their pen in the year 2023, which has had an impact on the society, administration and government, can send an application for this honor.

It is worth mentioning that journalist Simmi Marwaha passed away 22 years ago on 22 March 2003 at the age of 24 during a road accident in Chandigarh. After which this series was started by his well-wishers by establishing this trust in his memory. The Trust organizes this program every year on 3rd April on Simmi Marwaha's birthday.
