Chandigarh February 28, 2024:- The Department of Chemistry and Centre for Advanced Studies in Chemistry, Panjab University, Chandigarh celebrated National Science Day 2024 on 28th February 2024 in collaboration with IIC, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The event was Event Catalyzed& Supported by Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST)&National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCTSC) and Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India. Various events were held for students from B.Sc. and M.Sc. as well as Ph.D. scholars of the department. The various competitions based on the theme ‘Indigenous Technologies for ViksitBharat’ were held that gave an insight into the innovative minds of students and scholars.

The officiating chairperson of the Department Prof.Ganga Ram Chaudhary addressed the audience with his wonderful words on Science. The various competitions held during the event included Neuron Nexus: The Science Quiz, Recycled Revelations: Unveiling the Best Out of Waste, Symphony of Colors: A CelebrationThroughRangoli, Lens & Soul: The photography competition, Vocabulary Voyage: Spell Bee Contest, Design Extravaganza: Unleash YourCreativity in our Poster Showdown, Intellectual Sparring: The Debate Championship and Unearthed Enigma: The treasurehunt.

All the participants showed immense enthusiasm and presented their ideas on Science in an immaculate manner. Each event was evaluated by respective judges and the best ones were awardedpositions in each competition.The event was fulfilled by sheer zeal and zest of all the organizers and theparticipants.
