PEC, Chandigarh Welcomes Alumni of 1978' Batch from Production & Industrial Engineering Department

Chandigarh: 25th February, 2024: The Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, was delighted to host distinguished alumni from the 1978 passout batch of the Production & Industrial Engineering Department on February 23, 2024. The reunion brought together accomplished professionals from various corners of the world to revisit their academic roots and strengthen ties with their alma mater.

The reunion brought together accomplished professionals from various corners of the world to revisit their academic roots and strengthen ties with their alma mater. Alumni were given an exclusive tour of the Production & Industrial Engineering Department, including visits to laboratories and interactive sessions with faculty members. The event aimed to foster a sense of nostalgia while updating the alumni on the department's recent
advancements.

The warm welcome was extended by Professor R. M. Belokar, Head of the Production & Industrial Engineering Department, and Professor R. S. Walia, Head of the Workshop and Skill Center. The alumni were given insights into the department's current research, projects, and educational initiatives.

Dr. Jimmy Karloopia, Professor-In-Charge of Alumni, Corporate, and International Relations, shed light on the various initiatives undertaken by the alumni office. He highlighted the significant contributions of PEC alumni towards the college's growth and success. Dr. Karloopia also provided information on scholarship programs and various initiatives led by alumni to support the development of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
