Addressing the state level event after dedicating the memorial to Sri Guru Ravidas Ji on the occasion of the 647th Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji here today, the Chief Minister said that he has already given orders to the officers to make this event memorable. Adequate planning should be ensured for He said that to celebrate the 650th Prakash Utsav of Guru Ravidas Ji on a large scale, the whole area around Khuralgarh will be developed on a large scale with the consultation of the Sangat. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this will be a memorable occasion and the state government will leave no stone unturned to make this festival a success.
The Chief Minister said that the Sri Guru Ravidas Ji memorial has been built at a cost of around 143 crore rupees and it is a modest effort by the state government out of reverence and respect for Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. He said that this memorial is equipped with tourist facilities building, multi level parking, Minar-e-Begampura, sangat hall, ultra modern auditorium and other facilities. Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed hope that this memorial will be of great help in perpetuating the life and philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. Taking the pledge to work more diligently to alleviate the sufferings of the weak and backward sections of the society, the Chief Minister said that this is in accordance with the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. He said that it is the duty of the Punjab government to ensure the welfare of the poorest of the poor, for which many initiatives are being taken. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that with the blessings of Sri Guru Ravidas ji, his government has come to power with a huge majority which is serving the state. The Chief Minister said that Sri Guru Ravidas ji gave the message of welfare of the entire humanity and equality of all sections of the society so that a society based on egalitarian values can be created. He said that Sri Guru Ravidas ji gave the concept of such an ideal society, where no one has to suffer any kind of suffering. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government is committed to creating a society based on the teachings and philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. The Chief Minister said that the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas ji guide humanity towards the creation of an equal society. He said that Sri Guru Ravidas ji was a great spiritual guide and the messiah of the poor and helpless sections of the society, who taught us to live a noble and noble life. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this 'Prakash Utsav' is an opportunity to dedicate ourselves towards creating a society where every human being lives with self-respect without any discrimination.
The Chief Minister further said that according to the ideology of 'Bharat Ratna' Babasaheb BR Ambedkar, the state government is empowering the weaker sections of the society by giving them quality education. He said that the 'School of Eminence' established by the state government will fulfill the dreams of Babasaheb by making the poor but talented students capable of a bright future. Bhagwant Singh Maan appealed to the Sangat to pray for the peace, progress and prosperity of the state and said that due to the blessings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, the state government will soon create a progressive Punjab.
