To implement this decision, a meeting of the State Committee of CITU was held in which CITU All India President Dr. Hem Lata and General Secretary Sathi Tapan Sen (former Member of Parliament) specially attended.
On this occasion, both the leaders gave information about the decisions taken by the Situ Center. He said that the central government has decided to launch a campaign against the ongoing privatization of public institutions (in which electricity and railways are prominent). Under this campaign, workers and common people will be made aware about the harm of privatization and dharnas will be held in front of electricity offices in the entire Punjab on November 3. He said that protests against privatization will be held in front of the railway station from November 5 to 9.
The leaders also condemned the slackness being done by the Punjab government to implement the old pension scheme. The leaders said that the government is constantly making excuses in this regard, while it has been restored by the Congress governments of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. He said that the central government is refusing to increase the EPF pension and the implementation of the Supreme Court's decision is also being delayed. Due to this, about 65 lakh EPF pensioners are fighting in the courts.
Along with this, solid planning was also done for the participation of the United Kisan Morcha and the Trade Union Morcha in the struggle being carried out in the state capitals from November 25 to 28.
