
Department of Language Punjab organized a tri-lingual poet's court
Patiala, February 6 - A Tri-lingual Poet Darbar was organized by the Department of Languages Punjab at the head office here under the supervision of Director of the Department Mrs. Harpreet Kaur. District Planning Committee Patiala Chairman Jasvir Singh Jassi Sohianwala arrived as the chief guest in this Kavi Durbar. The event was presided over by Shiromani Urdu Literary Sardar Panshi and "Padma Shri" Pran Sabharwal was the special guest.

District Planning Committee Patiala Chairman Jasvir Singh Jassi Sohianwala arrived as the chief guest in this Kavi Durbar. The event was presided over by Shiromani Urdu Literary Sardar Panshi and "Padma Shri" Pran Sabharwal was the special guest.
Director Harpreet Kaur welcomed the guests and gave information about the projects being run by the department for the promotion of Punjabi language and respect for other languages. On this occasion, Jasvir Singh Jassi Sohianwala said that under the leadership of Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is trying to connect the new generation with book and sports culture. Due to which the responsibility of institutions like language department increases a lot because the language department and universities have to lead all in the propagation of our mother tongue. Talking about Kavi Darbar, he said that it is a tradition which has been a part of our heritage for centuries. We have the world's greatest word Guru in the form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, who is an example of the highest quality of poetry.
Apart from this, the stories of the great people written on the land of Punjab are also going forward from generation to generation. He said that the responsibility of scribes increases a lot to connect the new generation with good poetry. Therefore, the language department is to be congratulated for organizing such events to connect the new generation with good literature and give them good guidance. Poet Sardar Panchi, presiding over the event, praised the mother tongue in his poetic style. He also recited selections of Urdu and Hindi poetry. Special guest Padma Shri Sri Pran Sabharwal said that his relationship with the language department is very old. Most of their theater performances are prepared in the language department. He appreciated the efforts being made by the language department for the promotion of Punjabi language.
On this occasion Dr. Rajwant Kaur Punjabi's book 'Nari Parvaaz' and Mrs. Sunita Sabharwal's book 'Kujh Bol Anita' were also presented to the public. In the end Deputy Director Harbhajan Kaur and the organizer of the event Assistant Director Amarinder Singh thanked everyone. All the poets who participated in the event were honored by the language department. Dr. Rubina Shabnam, Sarabjit Kaur Jas, Amritpal Singh Saida, Kulwant Saidoke, Bimala Guglani, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Jaspreet Falak, Avtarjit Atwal, Parvinder Shokh, Dharam Kameana, Jaswinder Chahal Mansa, Trailochan Lochi, Shatish Vidrohi, Harjit Singh in the poet's court. Sadhar, Gurmail Singh Virak, Sagar Sood, Balraj Oberoi, Hardeep Sabharwal, Sukhwinder Chahal, Jorawar Singh Phansi, Chamkaur Singh Chahal and Balveer Jalalabadi presented their respective works. Other officials of the language department were also present on this occasion.
