Patiala, January 30 - 2013 batch IAS officer Shaukat Ahmed Parai took charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Patiala today. He replaced Sakshi Sahni, who has been transferred as DC Ludhiana.
Shaukat Ahmed Parai said after assuming his post that, according to the instructions of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the benefits of the public welfare schemes of the Punjab government should reach every eligible beneficiary and provide the people with a clean, transparent, corruption-free and people-friendly administration. Providing will be their main priority.'
After this, Shaukat Ahmed Parai, in a meeting with the officials, said that the daily work should be completed on time, including the speedy completion of the ongoing projects. Earlier, on the arrival of the new Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Parai at the District Administrative Complex, a contingent of Punjab Police saluted by presenting 'Guard of Honour'. SP Sarfaraz Alam, ADC Navreet Kaur Sekhon, SD AMS Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh, Jasleen Kaur and Tarsem Chand, RTA Naman Markan, Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Babandeep Singh Walia, Tax Commissioner Kannu Garg, Asst. DC office officials and employees including Commissioner Ravinder Singh, District Revenue Officer Navdeep Singh, DDPO Amandeep Kaur warmly welcomed Shaukat Ahmed Parai.
