
Dairy Development Department organized milk producer awareness seminar at Karhali Sahib
Patiala, January 24 - Dairy Development Department Patiala organized a milk producer awareness seminar at village Karhali Sahib Block Bhunarheri under National Livestock Mission. In which about 250 milk producers participated. Mr. Charanjit Singh Deputy Director Dairy Development Patiala presiding over this seminar gave detailed information about various 2 week and 4 week trainings being conducted by the dairy department, DD-8 scheme, importance of cattle shed, planning of commercial dairy farming.

Dr Jeevan Gupta Senior Veterinary Officer gave information about prevention of animal diseases, timely vaccination, animal care. Shri Yashpal Dairy Development Inspector shared the success points of dairy farming, the importance of animal feed and mineral mixture. Dr. Tarsem Sharma gave information about the structure of cooperative structure, low cost and high milk production, improvement of animal breed. Kulwinder Singh Dairy Development Inspector informed about the subsidy running on feed and fodder activity silage baler, fodder harvester, tractor, trolley, chafcutter, shed, total mix ration machines under National Livestock Mission. Lakhmir Singh Dairy Inspector encouraged the farmers to promote dairy business. And motivated to avail various schemes of Govt. In this seminar, different feed companies also set up their own stalls. Village leader Ranjit Singh Sarpanch Karhali Sahib praised the seminar and said that this seminar has been very successful. And the farmers will get a lot of benefit from it. In this seminar, the milk producers who are doing good dairy farming were also honored by giving departmental momento. 2-2 kg packets of mineral mixture were distributed free of cost to the milk producers by the department.
