Patiala, January 23 – Additional District Magistrate Anuprita Johal has exercised her powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) to ensure security during the state-level function on Republic Day, 'Raja Bhalinder Singh Khel Stadium' (Polo Ground) Patiala and Circuit House Patiala and an area of 5 km adjacent to them has been declared as "No Drone Zone".
These orders, which will continue till January 26, 2024, state that the state-level function of the Republic Day is being celebrated at the Raja Bhalinder Singh Sports Stadium (Polo Ground), Patiala, in which the Governor Punjab Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit will perform the national flag hoisting ceremony. . Many other important VIPs are likely to be felicitated on this occasion. Therefore, keeping safety as a priority, a 5 km area of Raja Bhalinder Singh Sports Stadium (Polo Ground) Patiala and Circuit House is declared as "No Drone Zone" area.
