SDM said that the Chief Minister has taken the initiative and given the status of “Children of the State” to orphan children. He said that Himachal Pradesh is the first state where the state government is giving grants to the unfortunately orphaned children for their education, house construction, coaching and starting their own self-employment. He said that under the Chief Minister Sukh Ashray Yojana, 12 cases were sent for approval, out of which 4 have been approved and 6 are under consideration. Apart from this, 9 cases have been approved for social security.
coaching facility
Under this scheme, online coaching will be organized and off-line coaching facilities will also be provided. Coaching will be provided during higher secondary and graduation. One-time financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh per person per year will be provided for coaching. A monthly stipend of Rs 4,000 per person per month will also be provided during the course.
Higher Education (Academic), Vocational Training, Skill Development
Himachal Pradesh will bear all expenses of higher education (academic, vocational training, skill development) at actual rates including hostel and mess charges and tuition fees for eligible children and persons after completion of 18 years of age belonging to the State. A stipend of Rs 4,000 per month will be given to meet their personal expenses during the study period. If hostel facility is not available in the institute, the Government will also bear the full cost of boarding and lodging outside the hostel till the completion of the degree course. He informed that under the scheme, festive allowance of Rs 500 per child will be transferred to the bank accounts of residents of child care institutions, state home cum protection homes, Shakti Sadan and old age homes to celebrate the main festival.
Grant for allotment of land and construction of house
He informed that a person who is orphaned before the age of 27 years and who is landless can get one time government land i.e. three Biswas and housing grant for construction of a house at any time during his entire life span as per TCP norms. Will be eligible to receive. Rs 1.5 lakh will be given for house construction, as a supplement to the housing scheme of rural development, an additional amount of Rs 1.5 lakh will be provided for house construction to orphan children under the Chief Minister Sukh Ashray Yojana.
Grant for small and micro industries under self-employment assistance scheme
He said that after completing the age of 18 years, those who want to set up their own business will be provided one time financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh per person so that they can earn livelihood. These persons will be entitled to loan benefits under Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana. Former beneficiaries of Mission Vatsalya Yojana or any other orphan will be eligible to avail the benefits of any other scheme of the government. However, for similar nature of schemes, the benefits will be given under only one scheme.
marriage grant
Under the scheme, all former beneficiaries of Mission Vatsalya or those orphaned before the age of 18 years will be provided a one-time marriage grant of Rs 2 lakh or actual whichever is less, once they attain marriageable age as per law. Rs 51 thousand will be transferred to the beneficiary's account as Shagun at the time of the person's marriage.
Annual educational trip outside the state
Under this scheme, educational tours and excursions to various places and historical places in India will be organized for 15 days every year. Travel arrangements for children will be made by Shatabdi (Chair Car), AC Volvo, Air Suvidha. During such tours, accommodation will be arranged in three-star hotels.

Vishwa Mohan Dev Chauhan said that to avail the benefits of this scheme, applicants can apply through the concerned Child Development Project Officer. He said that the eligibility of orphan children will be certified by the District Child Protection Officer and District Program Officer. After this, the entire case along with the preference of the orphan will be sent to the concerned district administration for further action. He said that to avail the benefits of this scheme, the application form is available in the District Child Protection Office and the office of the Child Development Project Officer of the area.
Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana and Beti Hai Anmol Yojana were also discussed in detail in the meeting. Apart from this, various courses being conducted through ITI were also discussed.
On this occasion, BDO KL Verma, District Child Protection Officer Kamaldeep Singh, District Program Officer Narendra Kumar, CDPO Kuldeep Dayal, Tehsil Welfare Officer Jatindra Kumar, ITI Principal BS Dhillon and other officers were present.
