SAS Nagar, January 16 - NCC Wing of Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjedi Campus celebrated National Army Day in the campus remembering the martyrdom of brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the sake of the country.

On this occasion, remembering the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the country, Arsh Dhaliwal said that the National Army Day is celebrated by the soldiers in memory of the soldiers who died for the unity and integrity of their country. And we all should also learn from those great 'Sputas'.

Campus Director Dr Neeraj Sharma encouraged NCC cadets and all students to come forward to serve the country and join the army. CGC President Rachpal Singh Dhaliwal told the students about the importance of the army and said that Punjabis have always contributed the most for the security of the country. But for the last few years, it has been seen that the youth of Punjab are shying away from joining the army.

On this occasion, patriotic songs were sung and dance performed by the students. At the end of the event, a 2-minute silence was observed to remember the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country.
