
Lohri festival was celebrated at Sikh National College Banga
Nawanshahr - Lohri festival was celebrated with great fanfare under the leadership of Principal Dr Tarsem Singh Bhinder with the support of all the staff at Sikh National College Charan Kanwal Banga. On the occasion of the start of the program, the Principal Sahib, staff and students put on tilchauli and lit the fire of Lohri and wished to go to Dalidar, come Ishtar.

He also said that everyone should celebrate this festival with full joy by dancing and singing as it represents Punjabi. Prof. Gurpreet Singh moderated the forum and discussed the background of Lohri And told that the festival of Lohri is also related to the wish for the prosperity of the crop, the protection of dignity by the folk hero Dulla Bhatti for the poor and needy girls. Prof. Tajinder Singh Huron thanked all the teaching, non-teaching staff and students who attended the event. And said that we have to celebrate every festival recognizing the importance of festivals in our life Because every festival has some message associated with it Which has to be applied in human life. While celebrating Lohri, all the staff and students were distributed laddoos, peanuts and nuts. And all the staff sat around the lohri fire and enjoyed this festival.
