
Dr. Balbir Singh's call to women to stop killing their daughters in the womb and mobilize against drugs
Patiala, January 13 - Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education and Research Minister Dr. Balbir Singh has invited women to mobilize to stop killing daughters in the womb and eradicate the evil of drugs. Dr. Balbir Singh had come to honor the daughters at the state level function organized at Patiala to celebrate the Lohri of daughters. Meanwhile, he congratulated the festival of Lohri and honored about 300 mothers and daughters who arrived from Patiala city and nearby areas on behalf of the Punjab government.

Dr. Balbir Singh had come to honor the daughters at the state level function organized at Patiala to celebrate the Lohri of daughters. Meanwhile, he congratulated the festival of Lohri and honored about 300 mothers and daughters who arrived from Patiala city and nearby areas on behalf of the Punjab government. Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Balbir Singh expressed deep concern over the growing tendency of girls to do drugs and said that girls should not imitate boys in the matter of drugs as they are ahead of boys in other fields. He said that we now feel the need for drug addiction centers for girls. So women have to take a vow to fight against drugs and female feticide. He also expressed concern over the decreasing number of girls compared to boys and said that we have to change our thinking to make the number of girls equal to boys in Punjab according to gender ratio. He said that this is why Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann appointed our daughters as DC and SSP of many districts in the state who are doing very good work.
Dr. Balbir Singh said that in our society there is still some inequality in the common houses But it has been proved that wherever the opportunities are given to the girls, they have proved themselves. He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan is making other special efforts including providing facilities of buses for girls' education and sports.
Dr. Balbir Singh further said that the gap in the health service of the last 25 years has been completed by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Punjab has been made the leading state in terms of health by the honorable government And our state will become 'Rangala Punjab' again. He said that in order to provide better health services to the people, the government has completed the shortage of doctors and medicines in the hospitals.
The Health Minister said that 250 types of medicines will reach all government hospitals by February 15. Before this, the shortage of specialist doctors and professor doctors in government medical colleges has been completed And this year, the shortage of doctors will be completed in all district hospitals and the services of private doctors are also being taken. Director of Health Services and Family Welfare Department Dr. Hitinder Kaur, IMA Punjab President Dr. Bhagwant Singh, State Nodal Officer PCPNDT Dr. Vineet Nagpal and Civil Surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur also spoke on the occasion.
On this occasion, the students of Govt. Mata Kaushalya Nursing School spoke on health schemes and presented Giddha while Baljinder Thakur recited a song about Lohri and daughters.
