During the conversation with the journalists, he said that various resolutions have been passed in the public interest in the house meeting of the Municipal Corporation. He said that in the areas of the city where there is no water supply or sewage facility, work will be done in this regard soon. Tubewells will be installed in those areas where there is a problem of drinking water. Apart from this, a special strategy has been made to deal with encroachments on unsafe buildings and municipal premises. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Jyoti Bala Mattu, Assistant Commissioner Sandeep Tiwari, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary, Councilors of various wards and Municipal Corporation officials were present in this House meeting. The cabinet minister said that the empty places of the municipal corporation will be developed as green belts and the main roads of the city will be renovated on the lines of food streets. While congratulating the city residents and the entire team of the Municipal Corporation, he said that the Hoshiarpur Municipal Corporation has made a big leap in the cleanliness rank compared to earlier. He appealed to the city residents and said that they should support the Municipal Corporation in keeping the city clean so that Hoshiarpur can be made the most beautiful city of Punjab.
Municipal Corporation Mayor Surinder Kumar, explaining in detail about the meeting of the House, said that the Municipal Corporation is committed to provide 100 percent basic facilities to the residents of Hoshiarpur. From time to time resolutions are passed by the corporation during the house meeting and sent to the government to provide complete facilities of water supply and sewage within the city. He said that in the meeting of the house today, resolutions for the work of 512.23 lakh rupees have been passed by the house for the development of roads in different wards. Apart from this, 229 lakh rupees were passed to provide street light facility to the city residents, with which street lights will be installed in different places of the city.
40 lakh rupees have been sanctioned for providing drinking water and sewage facilities in Mohalla Santokh Nagar, Mohalla Kirti Nagar, Mohalla Birbal Nagar, Mohalla Valmiki, Mohalla Pakhoana Nyara Road, through which water supply and sewage facilities will be provided in these Mohallas. . He said that in order to keep the residents of the city healthy, the maintenance work of Birdh Ashram Ram Colony and the park of Sant Harchand Singh Longowal has been given to the associations of the respective localities. So that the city dwellers can walk in these parks and enjoy a healthy environment. He informed that no deficiency will be left in the development of the wards from any aspect. The city will always continue to provide basic facilities to the city residents from time to time and will continue to receive grants from the government to develop the city in the future.
