Hoshiarpur - PC PNDT District Advisory Committee meeting was held at the office of Civil Surgeon under the chairmanship of Civil Surgeon cum District Appropriate Authority PC PNDT Act Dr. Balwinder Kumar Damana and District Family Welfare Officer cum Nodal Officer PC PNDT Act.
While sharing information with the committee members, Dr. Balwinder Kumar said that the PC & PNDT Act has been strictly implemented in the district. And no one will be allowed to violate this act. He also said that the health department conducts regular inspection of all the scanning centers in the district as per the rules of the Act. and the record of scanning centers is kept.
On this occasion, District PNDT Coordinator Abhay Mohan informed the members of the Advisory Committee about the activities carried out according to the Act. He said that the registrations and renewals of all the scanning centers in the district have been done according to the PC and PNDT Act. During this, many other important issues were discussed. On this occasion, Abhay Mohan said that a special program is also being conducted by the Mass Media Wing at the Civil Office on tomorrow 12.01.2024 regarding the celebration of "Dhiyan di Lohri".
The advisory committee members in the meeting included Child Specialist Dr. Harnoorjit Kaur, Medical Officer Dr. Neha Pal, Deputy Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur, Advocate Pawanpreet Singh, Inspector In-Charge Women Cell Sandeep Kaur, Legal Probationary Officer Sukhjinder Singh, and District BCC Coordinator Amandeep Singh.
