Garhshankar January 11 - A delegation of Lok Bachao, Pind Bachao Sangharsh Committee (Area Beet) under the chairmanship of President Ashok Kumar Sharma ji met at the office of Hon'ble Forest and Food Supply Minister Shri Lal Chand Kataru Chak ji at the office of the Main Secretariat, Chandigarh and after holding a meeting A demand letter was given regarding their demands.
In this, the illegal cutting of forests in the village of Mahindwani and the Beet area, illegal mining and the misuse of section 4 and 5 of illegal forestry by the owners of factories located in the area of Mahindwani and strict action by the department as per the law. Punishments were demanded. The delegation demanded to restore the cut ration cards of the needy people of the area and to create new ones for the needy people.
The minister assured the delegation to take appropriate and immediate action on the demand letter. In this delegation, committee members Ramesh Lal (Sarpanch), Darshan Kumar Lambardar, Sathi Kulbhushan Kumar Mahindwani, Ashwani Didar Dangori, Gurchain Singh Fauzi and Davinder Rana were present along with the President of the Village Struggle Committee (Area Beet).
