Hoshiarpur - District Hoshiarpur has set a record within a month of the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann providing government services to the people at their door step. Hoshiarpur district has secured the first position in the state by giving maximum door step delivery.

Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that 597 applications were received in Hoshiarpur district in one month, of which 558 were approved and 39 are pending. He said that 43 types of government services were provided to the people at their homes, out of which 525 people's certificates have also been delivered to their homes. According to this, Hoshiarpur has made the highest jump in the state with 88 percent service delivery rate. He said that the residents of the district can call the toll free number 1076 to get the services available in 43 types of service centers at home. After calling on this, they can tell the government representative at what time they can come to their house and take their photo or other documents and give them the benefit of government service. Any certificate that will be made under the government service will also come to the person's home by a government representative.
The Deputy Commissioner said that with the introduction of this service, the people of the district have got convenience and most of the people are no longer going to the service center or other government offices to get government services. He said that with this, the crowd in the office is also reducing and people are getting government facilities at home. He appealed to the residents of the district to take maximum advantage of these services. The District IT Manager of Administrative Reforms Department said that this service was started from 11 December 2023 in Hoshiarpur district.
He appealed to the citizens and said that after completing their file, they should book an appointment on the toll free number 1076. He said that in this regard, 11 service assistants have been posted for 5 tehsils of the district. He said that so far most of the services are related to issuance of birth certificate, correction of birth certificate, caste, residence, old age pension, income and marriage certificate. He said that a citizen can get maximum four services at a time.
