Patiala, January 8 - The state level event to be held on the occasion of Republic Day on January 26 will be held at the Polo Ground in Patiala, the preparations for this event have started. Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni visited the Polo Ground (Raja Bhalindra Singh Sports Complex) to review the preparations being made for the Republic Day celebrations.
On this occasion, Sakshi Sahni held a meeting with the officials of the concerned departments and gave instructions to complete the entire arrangement on time. He said that this time on the occasion of the state level function of the Republic Day to be held in Patiala, Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit will perform the ceremony of hoisting the national flag tricolor at the polo ground. On this occasion, Sakshi Sahni appealed to the residents of the entire district including the city dwellers to actively participate in the Republic Day event to be held at the Raja Bhalindra Singh Sports Complex, Polo Ground. The Deputy Commissioner gave orders to the district officials that while the attendance of all the officers and employees should be ensured during this event, the entire arrangements including the work done by different departments should be carried out in a smooth and beautiful manner on time.
Meanwhile, SP Muhammad Sarfaraz Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Anupreeta Johal and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon, along with other senior officials of other departments were present.
