Una, January 8 - Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma on Monday inaugurated Vemvu Vatika by planting saplings in the Vemvu Oxygen Park being established in the Vemvu Village Project in Ghandawal village of Una district. About 30 species of bamboo were planted in this garden and in the coming time this garden will become a center of attraction for tourists.

Una, January 8 - Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma on Monday inaugurated Vemvu Vatika by planting saplings in the Vemvu Oxygen Park being established in the Vemvu Village Project in Ghandawal village of Una district. About 30 species of bamboo were planted in this garden and in the coming time this garden will become a center of attraction for tourists.
Giving information on this occasion, Raghav Sharma said that Vemvu Village Project is being established in Ghandawal village by the district administration under the National Vemvu Mission Program of the Central Government. He said that various types of bamboo products will be made in this project, mainly bamboo toothbrushes, shaving razors, brushes, pens etc., for which equipment has been made available. He told that Vemvu India and Swan Women Federation will participate in this project. He informed that the products will be prepared by the women of self-help groups associated with the federation and the manufactured products will be purchased by Vemvu India. The Deputy Commissioner said that it is also proposed to build a sales center and café for the products manufactured from Vemvu. He said that the main objective of this project is to promote products made from bamboo instead of plastic products.
On this occasion, Joint Director of Industries Department Anshul Dhiman, Manager of Industries Department Akhil Sharma, Managing Director of Vemvu India Yogesh Shinde, Chief Advisor of Swan Women Federation Rajesh Sharma and others were present.
