Mahilpur, (January 5) - Keeping in mind the birth anniversary of the Dhan Dhan Tenth Patshah Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj ji, today the management committee of Gurdwara Nanak Niwas Village Mehmedowal Kala with the support of the villagers and the residents of the area, Nagar Kirtan was organized under the guidance of the Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj Ji and the leadership of the Panj Piyare.
This Nagar Kirtan left from Gurdwara Nanak Niwas amidst the echo of cheers. On this occasion, Ragi Jatha of Bhai Kashmira Singh Mahilpur connected the congregation with the teachings of Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj Ji through Kirtan.
  On arrival at Gurdwara Sahib village Mahmdowal Khurd, Nagar Kirtan was warmly welcomed by the organizing committee of Gurdwara Sahib and the congregation. Food and drinks were arranged for the congregation.
After this, the Nagar Kirtan reached the residence of late Sardar Davinder Singh and Reverend Kamaljit Kaur, former Sarpanch. They distributed tea, water and fruit prasad to the devotees.
On this occasion, those Panj Piyare, the sarpanches of both the villages and other respectable personalities were honored by giving siropao.
On this occasion, Gurwinder Singh Sarpanch Mehmdowal Khurd, Amarjit Singh Sarpanch Mehmdowal Kala, Niranjan Singh former Sarpanch, Satnam Singh Panch, Gurdeep Singh, Balveer Singh Subedar, Kashmira Singh Pradhan, Sohan Singh, Jathedar Balveer Singh, Ratan Kaur Pakhowal, Gurbaksh Kaur Candowal, Rano , Naresh, Sodhi, Lambardar Tarsem Singh, Suraj Panch, Gian Singh, Bhajan Singh, Kashmir Singh, Dalwinder Singh, Nirmal Singh Muggowal, Paramjit Kaur, Seema Rani Mahilpur, Rekha Rani, Tarsem Kaur were present in large numbers.
After that, this Nagar Kirtan passed from Gurdwara Satguru Ravidas Maharaj and ended back at Gurudwara Nanak Niwas. On the way, the Nagar Kirtan was welcomed by the devotees. Speaking on the occasion, Bibi Kamaljit Kaur, former Sarpanch, said that we all are blessed. Following the path shown by the Blessed Sri Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj ji, one should avoid all kinds of drugs and live with the spirit of love and affection towards one another.
