
Depot holders of Punjab will hold a protest in Delhi on January 16 regarding their demands
Nawanshahr - A meeting of Depot Holders Union Phagwara was held at the local rest house under the leadership of Union President Surinder Mohan. In which the problems faced by depot holders were discussed. Speaking to the media after the meeting, President Surinder Mohan and Chairman Bira Ram Valjot said that due to the lack of machines with electronic technology, consumers are finding it difficult to get ration.

Keeping the public interest in mind, the government is requested to give a new machine to every depot holder. Apart from this, he said that all the depot holders should be given equal amount of ration cards and the allowance given to the depot holders in exchange of wheat distribution should be increased as due to inflation it has become very difficult for them to support their families. He said that on January 16, all the depot holders from across Punjab will leave for Delhi and will make the central government aware of their difficulties while holding a protest. He clearly said that if the government ignores their demands, then the distribution of wheat from January to March will be suspended indefinitely. On this occasion, Vice President Sanjeev Sharma, General Secretary Nirmal Singh, Kishori Lal, Cashier Anil Pandey, Sudhir Kumar, Jaswinder Singh Harkishan Duggal, Jagdish Ram, Rajiv Kumar, Raj Kamal, Naresh Kumar and other members and office bearers of the association were present.
