SAS Nagar, January 3 - Deputy Mayor of Mohali Municipal Corporation Kuljit Singh Bedi has said that the people have to suffer repeatedly due to the Hitlerian decisions taken by the Bharatiya Janata Party government. He said that due to the hit and run law imposed without taking the transporters into confidence, the central government should apologize to the people for this, which has caused a lot of trouble to the common people. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government is engaged in flouting the democratic systems of the country, due to which the entire class is taking to the streets against the decisions of this government.
S. Bedi said that earlier anti-farmer laws were passed by the central BJP government against which there was a fierce struggle because these laws were passed without taking the opinion of the farmers. He said that finally the government had to withdraw these laws, but in the meantime, more than 750 farmers died during the struggle that lasted for more than a year.
He said that in the same way, now the central government has suspended a large number of members of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha of the opposition parties, flaunting the democratic system and passed laws as per their wish. He said that the result of this is that truck drivers and owners have gone on strike across the country on the implementation of the Transport Act and the public of the country has had to bear the consequences. Who had to queue for many hours at the petrol pump in the new year. He said that apart from vegetables and fruits, the prices of daily use items also increased.
He said that since the transportation of goods cannot be done without trucks, therefore, there is smoke in the nostrils of the government and an agreement has been reached with the truckers by talking about not implementing these laws immediately.
He said that if the resolutions are passed according to everyone's opinion after a full debate in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, then the people of the country may benefit, but the government of the Bharatiya Janata Party wants to impose its wrong decisions on the people using the Hitler imperial method. And when there is a struggle against such anti-people decisions, the government pulls its feet back.
