Rotary Club Hoshiarpur organized a function dedicated to the martyrdom of Sahibjadia

Hoshiarpur - The Rotary Club Hoshiarpur Mid Town organized a function dedicated to the Martyrdom Day dedicated to the four martyrs under the chairmanship of President Amarjit Singh. A function was organized with blind children at the Blind School Bahowal near Mahilpur. The club provided warm hats, socks, fruits and refreshments to the children staying at the blind school. The club also provided a 25 liter electric geyser to make hot water for bathing children on cold days.

Shabad Kirtan was performed by blind children on this occasion. All the members of the club sang the praises of Shabad Kirtan and the children were awarded eleven hundred rupees. On this occasion, the secretary of the club, Inderpal Sachdeva, said that on 27th December 1704, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the two sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, were burned alive in the wall by the Nawab of Sirhind for not accepting Islam. Big Sahibzade Baba Ajit Singh and Baba Jujhar Singh were martyred while fighting. The martyrdom of the four Sahibzades at a young age was a matter of pride for the Sikh religion. That is why from December 22 to December 29 people of all religions celebrate these days as martyrdom day. Project Chairman Sardar Jagmeet Singh Sethi said that Rotary Club Mid Town is always ready to meet their needs from time to time. Satish Gupta, Manoj Ohri, Jaswant Singh Bhogal, Joginder Singh, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Lovekesh Mehra, DP Kathuria etc. members were present on this occasion.
