Una, January 2 - Due to the strike of truck operators, the supply of petroleum products has been disrupted in Una district for the last two days, due to which the availability of petroleum products is not as per requirement. For this reason, there may be a possibility of shortage of petroleum products at various petrol pumps in the district.
In this regard, District Magistrate Raghav Sharma has issued orders keeping in mind the Himachal Pradesh Hoarding and Profiteering Prevention Order 1977. He has asked all petrol pump operators in the district to ensure availability of minimum reserve petroleum products for emergency situations. He said that petrol and diesel pumps with capacity of 25 thousand or more have been asked to keep a minimum reserve of 3 thousand diesel and 2 thousand petrol for emergency situations. Apart from this, orders have been issued to keep minimum reserve of 2 thousand diesel and 1 thousand petrol capacity for emergency on diesel and petrol pumps with capacity less than 25 thousand.
The District Magistrate has ordered the pump operators to fill only 10 liters of oil at a time. If any vehicle owner asks to fill more oil than this, he will have to take permission from the concerned SDM. He said that no person will be given oil in any container other than the tank of the vehicle. Raghav Sharma said that emergency vehicles like ambulance, fire brigade or vehicles supplying other essential commodities, public transport vehicles will be given priority in filling oil. He said that during this period no dealer will be allowed to hoard or black market petrol and diesel. He said that if anyone is found doing this, action will be taken against him as per law.
