Patiala, January 1 - Senior Punjab Police officer Mukhwinder Singh Chhina today retired from the post of Additional Director General of Police after 33 years and 8 months of excellent service. He was promoted as ADGP on 23 August 2023 during his posting as IG at Patiala Range.
Today, police officers of Patiala range including Patiala, Sangrur and Barnala SSPs Varun Sharma, Sartaj Singh Chahal and Sandeep Kumar Malik gave a grand farewell to ADGP Chhina.
In his address on this occasion, ADGP Mukhwinder Singh Chhina shared his experience with the police officers from his appointment to the last posting and said that Punjab Police is not only the best police of the country but also of the world. He said that the way the Punjab Police eradicated terrorism from the state, in the same way the Punjab Police will surely eradicate the gangsterism along with drugs and other anti-social elements with their professionalism, courage, bravery and diligence. He said that he will always be proud to be a part of this wonderful police force.
On this occasion, SSP Varun Sharma thanked and said that the long service experience of ADGP Mukhwinder Singh Chhina has been benefited by all the police officers of Patiala range and he will always be remembered as a successful officer and his service career as a guide.
Meanwhile, DSP Rajpura Surinder Mohan of Patiala Police, DSP PBI and Cyber Crime Dharmapal along with Inspector Swaranjit Singh and Inspector Shamsher Singh were also given farewell on retirement. During this, SPs Muhammad Sarfraz Alam, Harwant Kaur, Harveer Singh Atwal, Jasbir Singh, Palwinder Singh Cheema, Sangrur, Malerkotla and Barnala police officers and other dignitaries were present.
