Notice to singer Bhupinder Babal and T Series Company regarding the popular song "Arjan Valley" from the movie "Animal".

Patiala, December 18 - Punjabi singer Gurmeet Singh Meet and music company K Entertainers owner Gurdhian Singh Kharod Siwana, partner Bhupinder Singh Baran and music director Manu-Rishi have claimed that Bhupinder Babbal in the recently released film "Animal". The sung song "Arjan Valley" is actually a song released by his company in 2015 and it was written by late lyricist Dev Thrikewala.

Patiala, December 18 - Punjabi singer Gurmeet Singh Meet and music company K Entertainers owner Gurdhian Singh Kharod Siwana, partner Bhupinder Singh Baran and music director Manu-Rishi have claimed that Bhupinder Babbal in the recently released film "Animal". The sung song "Arjan Valley" is actually a song released by his company in 2015 and it was written by late lyricist Dev Thrikewala.
They alleged that Bhupinder Babbal has stolen the song and changed some parts in it and made it his name, for which now the company has sent a legal notice to the singer Babbal and T Series Company to immediately remove this song from social media, stealing the song. He has asked to hand over the royalties of the song to the original owners after seeking a public apology and has also given a complaint to the Patiala Police about the copyright act and the theft case.
Addressing a press conference at the Patiala Media Club here today, singer Gurmeet Singh Meet, owners of K Entertainers Company Gurdhian Singh Kharod Siwana and Bhupinder Singh Baran said that this song was given by Dev Thrikewala to singer Gurmeet Singh Meet which he had completed. Showed the register which had the signature of lyricist Thrikewala. He showed the CD of his album 'Buri Hoti Aa' released in 2015 in which the song Arjan Vali was sung and also showed a copy of the legal notice sent. He said that singer Gurmeet Meet gave this song to the company K Entertainers who released the album and lyricist Dev Thrikewala was also present during the release of the album.
  Singer Meet and Music Director Manu Rishi said that Dev Thrikewala often used to come to our studio in Model Town, Ludhiana.
These people said that singer Bhupinder Babbal is claiming to be the creator of the song while he has stolen the song and manipulated its lyrics and sold it to T Series Company. They said that this is a big crime on violation of copyright act which they have also complained to the police. He said that he will take this matter to its conclusion and therefore will approach the court to compel T Series Company and Bhupinder Babal to follow the full legal process and ensure punishment. He said that the song has earned Rs 8 crore through social media and the royalty should be given to him as he is the real owner of the song. When contacted on this matter, SP City Muhammad Sarfraz Alam said that he has received a complaint and the investigation of the matter is ongoing.
