Patiala, December 17 - Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW) and Rail Wheel Factory, Bangalore were jointly honored with the prestigious "Rail Seva Award, 2023" during the 68th Railway Week function held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The award was presented by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for PLW's commitment to excellence. Shri Pramod Kumar, Principal Chief Administrative Officer, PLW and Shri Ashish Mehrotra, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, PLW received this honor in the form of shield. Exemplary efforts in manufacturing electric locomotives and other products for Indian Railways have not only taken PLW to new heights but also contributed significantly to the improvement of rail services in the country. A press release issued by PLW's public relations department said that the award reflects the outstanding achievements of Patiala Locomotive Works in shaping the future of rail transport in India.
