Nawanshahr - Government of India, NDMA, SDMA Punjab, DDMA SBS Nagar and Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration Chandigarh organized a disaster training camp yesterday at Lamarine Tech Skill University to provide assistance in case of major accident or calamity.
In SBS Nagar district, 200 district volunteers are being trained to deal with earthquake, flood, fire, accident and other calamities. On the second day today, they were briefed about the Apada Mitra scheme and were taught about disaster management and the cycle of disaster management. After completing the 12-day training course of the volunteers being trained in the district, they will help in any kind of accident and calamity and will work together with the district administration.
