Patiala, December 15 – 1630 out of 1801 lawyers today exercised their voting rights to elect the new team of Patiala District Bar Association for the year 2024-25. Polling started at 9 am and continued till 5 pm. The polling went off peacefully, without any untoward incident. This time the main competition is between Rakesh Gupta and Manveer Singh Tiwana groups. Informed sources and two senior lawyers GS Roy and Sudhir Kumar believe that this time the competition between Rakesh Gupta and Manveer Singh Tiwana for the post of President has become tough. Both the senior lawyers say that whatever the results, the victorious leaders should make efforts to solve the problems of the lawyers as well as increase the fraternity and create a conducive environment.
