
Registration of candidates under PM Vishwakarma Yojana begins: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development)
Nawanshahr - Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Sagar Setia appealed to the small artisans and artisans of the district to take maximum benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana scheme. He said that the main objective of PM Vishwakarma scheme is to validate the skills of small artisans and artisans by providing financial assistance and skill training.
Nawanshahr - Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Sagar Setia appealed to the small artisans and artisans of the district to take maximum benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana scheme. He said that the main objective of PM Vishwakarma scheme is to validate the skills of small artisans and artisans by providing financial assistance and skill training.
Under this scheme, carpenters, masons, tailors, barbers, washermen, sculptors, toy makers, potters, cobblers, garland makers can avail the benefit of this scheme. Under this scheme, a tool kit worth up to 15 thousand rupees will be given after free skill training of up to 120 hours. Financial assistance will be given at the rate of 500 rupees per day during skill training. After completing the skill training, the artisans will be given a loan of 3 lakh rupees in 2 installments at an interest rate of 5 percent.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the registration under this scheme has started. To avail the benefit of the scheme, any rural or urban artisan who is above 18 years of age can go to their nearest Common Service Center and get their registration done.
