Hoshiarpur, December 11 - An engineering student at Punjab University Regional Center on Hoshiarpur-Una Road committed suicide by hanging himself in a PG room adjacent to the center. Giving information in this regard, the security guard of the PG said that in the afternoon a student came and told him that the student Aditya Yadav son of Praveen Yadav resident of Chandigarh had hanged himself with a fan in his room. After that, they went and saw Aditya Yadav's dead body hanging from the fan. On this, he immediately informed the Sadar police station. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and started further action. The police officer who reached the spot said that the mobile phone of the deceased youth has been taken into possession and the family of the deceased has also been informed. He said that the reason for the suicide is yet to be known.
