Three day training camp on better disaster management concluded at Bachat Bhawan Una

Una, December 6 - The training camp being organized under the scheme “Creation of Task Force of Youth Volunteers” for better disaster management and response concluded on Wednesday at Bachat Bhawan. During this, Block Development Officer Kishori Lal Verma was also present. On this occasion, BDO inspired the people present in the program to participate in as many disaster management training camps as possible.

Una, December 6 - The training camp being organized under the scheme “Creation of Task Force of Youth Volunteers” for better disaster management and response concluded on Wednesday at Bachat Bhawan. During this, Block Development Officer Kishori Lal Verma was also present. On this occasion, BDO inspired the people present in the program to participate in as many disaster management training camps as possible. 56 participants from Gram Panchayat Bangarh, Chalola, Beenwal, Bhadoliya Kalan, Basoli and Nari Chintpurni Vikas Samiti participated in this training camp.
He said that on the first day of the training camp, Training and Capacity Building Coordinator Suman Chahal gave information to the participants about the basic topics of disaster and disaster management, the role of volunteers in disaster management, Village Disaster Management Plan.
Suresh Kumar from the fire department provided information about fire and its prevention methods and fire fighting equipment.
On the second day of the training camp, Dr. Arvind Sharma from Primary Health Center Upper Basal provided information to the participants about first aid during disaster, especially CPR, snake bite etc.
On the third day of the training camp, Dheeraj Sharma and his team from the Home Guard Department provided information about search and rescue methods to the participants.
In this training camp, he gave information about the Sachet app run by the National Disaster Management Authority. The importance of disaster management planning in schools was also discussed in the training camp as school is an important structural framework which is entrusted with the responsibility of producing future citizens. Safety and a safe environment are prerequisites for effective teaching and learning. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure the safety of children, teachers and employees. Therefore it becomes important to pay attention to the safety of children.
In the training camp, District Panchayat Officer Shravan Kashyap shared his field experiences during the disaster. He asked all the volunteers to maintain coordination among themselves so that during a disaster, all the volunteers can respond in the shortest possible time and the damage caused by the disaster can be minimized. He also urged all the volunteers to provide correct and accurate information about the disaster on the emergency contact number. He said that incomplete information makes it difficult to give correct response.
Training certificates were also distributed to the participants in the training camp.
