Garhshankar 04 December - Since the coming into existence of human life, animals and birds are integral parts of each other, neither man can live without the existence of animals nor animals, creatures, but then humans go to the extent of torturing them. Why is it limited?
Labor Party President Jai Gopal Dhiman and General Secretaries Davinder Singh and Harjeet Singh, as always, took advantage of the fog during winter days to encourage some selfish people to throw their pets alive and injured animals in Kandi Canal, in search of fodder for some reason. Strongly condemning the Punjab government's indifference towards the suffering of the cattle falling into the canal in 2015, he said that the heart of the government has become completely dictatorial and inhuman. Dhiman said that at least 15 cows and bulls from village Mehatpur to Kondle are dying of hunger in the Kandi Canal canal without fodder, water and shelter due to the welfare schemes of the Punjab government. He told that he had seen an injured bull near Kandi, which was being eaten alive by dogs. First the dog was driven away on the spot and after that Dhiman handed over the entire matter to the Deputy Director of the Veterinary Department. They brought him down and immediately called the doctor and Dr. Shri Ram Lubhya ji gave him first aid medicine. But the condition of that bull has deteriorated. Bell's condition was raising many questions on the functioning of the government along with gossips and flexes. Governments have money to advertise falsely on flex, but there are no systems in place to stop cruelty to livestock.
Dhiman said that how lucky we are that in our country the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act came into existence in 1890 and then that law was born in 1960. But the unfortunate thing is that our government has limited good laws to its own tea party and animal welfare rules have not reached the people.
Dhiman said that according to the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960, being cruel to any animal, giving it unnecessary torture, overwork etc. all come under the category of cruelty. But the government that is collecting cow tax worth crores of rupees is paying less attention to the welfare of animals and more to its own welfare. According to the rules, killing animals is also illegal. Killing here is one-sided, but is eaten alive by dogs. But the world's biggest oppression is taking place in a country that is claiming to be a world power. Dhiman said that the Punjab government has no policy for the welfare of animals. But the Punjab government is completely responsible for the animals dying of hunger and thirst in the Kandi Canal. In this regard, Dhiman has sent a mail to Deputy Commissioner Hushiar ji demanding that a crane should be immediately arranged for the animals and they should be taken to the cow shed and the bill for all the expenses should be recovered from the Kandi Canal and Agriculture Department. In this regard, he mailed to the Honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court and lodged a complaint regarding the entire situation.
