Patiala, December 2 - District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni, while advocating maximum participation of the youth in the election process, especially the youth who voted for the first time, appointed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the booths across the district by the district administration. Gave instructions to ensure the registration of maximum number of youth during the special camps being organized.

Gave instructions to ensure the registration of maximum number of youth during the special camps being organized. The Deputy Commissioner asked the BLOs to work diligently to achieve this goal during a surprise visit to the polling booths of Khalsa College and Income Tax Office.
Appreciating the important role of BLOs on this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that these booth level camps are being organized to cover all the eligible voters of the district so as to ensure the participation of all the voters in the election process. Which is the ideal of our democracy. He also said that all BLOs. They are sitting in their respective booths so that the voters can get the facility of various services at their fingertips. He said that according to the revision schedule, any person who has attained the age of 18 years on or before January 1, 2024 can register himself as a voter.
He said that all the officials and employees related to the improvement work have been asked to prioritize the registration of as many new voters as possible so that no one is deprived of their right to vote.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the people who reached the booth level camps and also appealed to them to come forward to register their eligible young children as voters. He said that these booth level camps will be held on Sunday (December 3, 2023).
