Addressing the gathering, employee leaders Yogesh Kumar and Davinder Singh said that the Punjab government did not release the installment of dearness allowance on the occasion of Diwali, due to which there is a lot of anger and resentment among the employees. Apart from this, many other demands including restoration of old pension, resumption of discontinued allowances have been pending for quite some time. He said that according to the invitation of the forum, all the employees are on strike till December 6 and if the government does not accept the demands, further struggle will be announced as per the decision of the forum.
The employee leaders said that until recently, dearness allowance installments were issued every Diwali, but the present government completely neglected the employees and did not issue the installments, although the central government announced the issuance of installments several days before Diwali. was given He said that he understands the problems of people coming to the offices to get work done, but behind their problems are not the employees but the policies of the government. He demanded that the legitimate demands of the employees should be accepted by the government immediately. On this occasion, employee leader Alok Gupta and others were present.
