Patiala/Samana, November 30 - The residents of Samana city and surrounding areas will be provided with a new bus stand at a cost of Rs 6 crore. Expressing this, Punjab Information and Public Relations Minister Chetan Singh Jaudamajra said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan has also issued a grant for this by fulfilling the long-standing demand of Samana residents.

Chetan Singh Jaudamajra today visited the old bus stand of Samana, where the new bus stand is to be constructed. He said that a work order has also been issued by issuing a tender to build a new and ultra-modern bus stand on 2.5 acres of land. He said that solar system and rain water harvesting system will also be installed on the roof of the bus stand.

Jaudamajra said that even during the previous governments, there were protests with the residents to build this bus station, but this bus station was never built.
On this occasion SDM Charanjit Singh, Operations Officer Barjinder Singh, and Principal Architect Chandigarh Bachitar Singh, Senior Architect Sanch Kapur and Architect Aniket gave information about the design and other aspects of the new bus stand. On this occasion OSD Gulzar Singh Virak, Gurdev Singh Tiwana and Balkar Singh Gajjumajra along with Sonu Thind and Surjit Singh Fauzi were also present.
