Kharar, November 29 – Residents of Jalvayu Tower located in New Sunny Enclave (Sector 125) of Kharar are facing a lot of trouble due to non-availability of basic facilities for a long time. There are about 1300 flats in this society from which about 25 lakh rupees are deposited as maintenance charges every month but the residents allege that the residents are not getting the required facilities in return.

Regarding this, a resident of the society, Rajeev Kumar Jasal, has complained to SDM Kharar and demanded action to solve this problem. Mr. Jassal said that there has been no election in the society for a long time and no one has become the president of the Resident Welfare Association. He said that according to the rules, if the head is not selected, then all the authority is given to the SDM of the concerned area. But no action is being taken by the SDM to provide relief to the members of the society.

He said that the society gives salaries to the employees working here every month, but they work willingly as they have no accountability. He said that there is no water supply in the flats for two days and there is no arrangement for power backup. There is also a poor sanitation system and garbage is seen scattered everywhere.

They have demanded from the SDM that the responsibility of the employees maintaining the society should be fixed and the residents of the society should be ensured to get the necessary facilities. He said that if these employees do not work, then the contract for this entire work should be given to a responsible company and society elections should be held so that the problems of the residents are solved.
