
Protest rally by employees of Punjab Civil Secretariat
Chandigarh, November 24, - All the employees organizations of Punjab Civil Secretariat today held a protest rally at the Mini Secretariat under the banner of Secretariat Employees Joint Action Committee to release the outstanding installments of Dearness Allowance. In this rally, representatives of Secretariat Staff Officers Association, Secretariat Staff Employees Association, Personal Staff Association, Revenue Department Employees Association, Class Four Employees Union, Hospitality Department Union and Drivers Union protested against the government.

The leaders said that the employee organizations before Diwali in the presence of Principal Secretary Finance Mr. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Minister of Finance. Together with Harpal Singh Cheema, he submitted a demand letter regarding the release of outstanding installments of dearness allowance and Diwali bonus, but this demand of the employees was not considered by the government and it happened for the first time that a government did not give anything to its employees on the occasion of Diwali. given
On this occasion, the leaders released the outstanding arrears of Pay Commission, ACP. It was demanded to issue a notification regarding the initiation of increments under the scheme, the restoration of the old pension scheme, the appointment of raw employees. The employee leaders said that if no positive decision is taken by the government, the employees will be forced to protest in the secretariat and the corridors of the Vidhan Sabha during the legislative session, which will be the responsibility of the government.
The rally was attended by workers leaders Sukhchain Khaira, Manjit Randhawa, Paramdeep Bhabat, Malkit Aujla, Sham Lal Sharma, Jaspreet Randhawa, Shusheel Kumar, Surjit Singh Seetal, Bhupinder Jhaj, Kulwant Singh, Shudesh Kumari, Alka Chopra, Sahil Sharman, Mithun Chawla Inderpal Bhangu, Jagtar Singh etc. addressed and demanded from the government that the rightful demands of the employees should be accepted immediately.
