Una, November 18 - Under the drug-free Una campaign, Block Development Officer Mukesh Thakur inaugurated the Har Ghar Dastak campaign in Gram Panchayat Saloh of Haroli block. He said that under the campaign the message of no to drugs and yes to life was conveyed to the people. Mukesh Thakur said that due to lack of information many people are not able to save the people suffering from drug addiction. Therefore, the district administration has launched a door-to-door campaign to find out how to prevent drug abuse.
He said that the main objective of the district administration's 'Har Ghar Dastak' campaign is to make more and more people aware about the ill effects of drugs at the rural level. He said that we need to pay more attention to children. It is very important to make children aware about the ill effects of drugs so that they can stay away from drugs.
Under the campaign, Gram Panchayat Saloh Task Force went door-to-door and delivered the District Magistrate's message letter to the people. He said that Anganwadi workers and Asha workers are also playing an important role in this campaign. He said that if anyone wants information related to drug addiction, they can call the helpline number 94180-64444 of Drug Free Una Campaign. Apart from this, he said that if someone is consuming drugs or doing drug business around you, then you can give information about it on the Drug Free Himachal App. He told that if you give anyone's information through this app, your identity will be kept confidential. He said that the youth should focus their attention on sports competitions so that activities like drug addiction can be avoided.
Giving information about this campaign, the Block Coordinator said that now the doctors of our block will also play an important role in fighting this disease. He told that now the treatment of this disease will be started soon in our hospital so that people will be able to get treatment for diseases like drug addiction. Therefore he appealed to the people to share this information with as many people as possible. He said that we need to work unitedly in this campaign.
