The health teams visited 30 thousand houses and destroyed the larvae found in 233 places

Patiala, November 17 - Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh According to the guidelines of under the special campaign "Har Shukarwar-Dengue Te War" being conducted for the prevention of dengue disease, the health department teams today visited Tipri, Lahori Gate, Safabadi Gate, Abchal Nagar, Daru Kutia, Pratap Nagar, Urban. Apart from Estate, Bishan Nagar, standing water sources were checked in private clinics and hospitals and people were also made aware to eliminate standing water sources once a week during the checking.

Apart from Estate, Bishan Nagar, standing water sources were checked in private clinics and hospitals and people were also made aware to eliminate standing water sources once a week during the checking. These teams were inspected by District Nodal Officer Dr. Sumit Singh. Civil surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur said that even though the dengue cases have decreased due to the cooling of the weather, the larvae are still being found in standing water sources during house-to-house checking by the teams, which needs special attention. Dr. Sumeet Singh said that during this week the health teams have visited 29 thousand 957 houses/places and the larvae found in 233 places have been destroyed and with 13 more new dengue cases reported in the district today, the total number of dengue positive cases is 944. Out of which 891 patients have recovered from dengue.
