Voter awareness message given during Yuva Mela

Patiala, November 8 - According to the direction of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Patiala Sakshi Sahni, during the two-day open youth fair organized at Government (State) College of Education, Patiala with the support of Directorate Youth Services Department, Punjab, A special program was organized under the leadership of Principal Charanjit Kaur and Director Dilbar Singh to educate young students of various colleges and schools about the right to vote and registration.

Patiala, November 8 - According to the direction of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Patiala Sakshi Sahni, during the two-day open youth fair organized at Government (State) College of Education, Patiala with the support of Directorate Youth Services Department, Punjab, A special program was organized under the leadership of Principal Charanjit Kaur and Director Dilbar Singh to educate young students of various colleges and schools about the right to vote and registration.
   More than 500 students participated in this program. The program started with signature campaign. Meanwhile Prof. Savinder Singh Rekhi, District Sweep Nodal Officer, while telling the young students about the right and importance of voting, took an oath to exercise their right to vote fairly in the elections.
Meanwhile, Nodal Officer, Sweep 115-Patiala Rupinder Singh, Office District Election Officer, Pooja Chawla, Mohit Kaushal gave information and appealed to the young students that those who have reached the age of 18 but have not yet cast their vote, should register their names. Mandatory to be included in the electoral roll and to be a part of strengthening India's democracy. On this occasion, district sweep icon Ujagar Singh Antal, Prof. Deepika Rajpal, Prof. Jagmohan Sharma, Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Prof. Kanwar Jasminder Pal Singh, Prof. Navneet Kaur JJ was specially present. All the students enthusiastically participated in this program and vowed that they will exercise their right to vote.
