Una, November 7 - As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, Chief Electoral Officer, Manish Garg along with the Divisional Commissioners of Kangra, Shimla and Mandi, to supervise the activities of revision from October 27 to December 09, 2023 during the Special Brief Revision of Voter Lists-2024. Had a meeting. He gave detailed guidelines to all the observers regarding various activities during the revision campaign.
Giving information in this regard, District Election Officer Raghav Sharma said that during this special brief revision-2024, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, voter list observers, quality of disposal of claims and objections being received, gender ratio in voter lists, The work being done to reduce the difference in population ratio and age group wise registration will be observed. He said that observers should ensure to make field visits thrice during the review period. In the first visit, he will also hold a meeting with the existing MPs/MLAs/representatives of political parties and after each visit, he will send a report to the Commission through the Chief Electoral Officer.
He said that if any political party or general public wants to present any topic in the Special Brief Revision-2024, they can contact the voter list observers on telephone. He has urged all political parties and common people to motivate all eligible citizens to get their names included in the respective voter lists before December 9, 2023, to avail the benefit of this special brief revision of voter lists-2024. So that they can ensure their participation in strengthening the democracy of the country.
