For the last 10 years at Nirvanu Kutiya Mahilpur, the message of adopting the path of truth through the welfare teachings of Tathagata Lord Buddha and the practice of daily meditation sadhana is given. A special event is being held at Mahilpur on the occasion of 'Buddha Dhamma Deep Donation Ceremony'. On this day first of all Buddha Vandana will be performed, then candles and incense sticks will be lit as a symbol of faith in front of the images of Tathagata Lord Buddha and other Buddhist great men. It is worth mentioning that this day has a special importance in Buddhism. On Diwali day, 2560 years ago, after attaining enlightenment, Tathagata Lord Buddha first visited his birthplace Kapalvastu. In the joy of his arrival, his devotees welcomed him by lighting lamps in happiness. On this occasion, Tathagata Lord Buddha gave the message to the devotees present in his discourses to 'become your own lamp' and along with this Being enlightened and prudent, by knowing the causes of one's sufferings, he taught to live a life of happiness and peace by following the path to solve them. He left and took the path of Buddha's Dhamma. After that, Emperor Ashoka propagated Buddhism in the country and abroad and built many stupas and statues of Lord Buddha. Propagation became possible. The followers of Buddhism celebrate this day by performing Buddhism Deep Dan ceremony. Constitution maker Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar ji converted to Buddhism on 14th October 1956 in the holy land of Nagpur in the presence of 6 lakh people.
