Patiala, November 1 : Excise Department, Patiala Deputy Commissioner, Excise and Distilleries Uday Deep Singh Sidhu has confirmed the department's commitment to keep a close eye on distilleries and bottling plants for preparations for the upcoming festive season. Its objective is to ensure compliance and prevent any violation of the rules governing the production and distribution of alcoholic beverages.

Uday Deep Singh Sidhu emphasized that the Excise Department is continuously conducting strict inspection and checking in the districts under Patiala zone. The primary objective of these ongoing efforts is to prevent any possible smuggling of illicit liquor from neighboring states and Union Territories, so as to protect the people who consume alcoholic beverages from the associated potential dangers.
He said that as the festive season approaches, the entire team of the Excise and Distillery Department of Patiala is committed to maintaining a safe and responsible environment for the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
